The International Cricket Council (ICC) charges Wahab Riaz and Shane Watson on Friday for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Pakistan vs. Australia quarter-final match, which the Australian team won by 6 wickets.
According to star sports, if players admit their wrongdoing, they are generally let off with a warning. But it is uncertain what kind of action will be taken against the two cricketers.
The ICC will announce on Saturday what if any action will be taken against them for the violations.
Riaz, during an aggressive bowling spell, peppered Watson with a series of short pitched deliveries and sarcastically applauded, even blowing the 33-year-old a kiss at one stage that was really nasty.
There was also an exchange of words between the two players.
